A defining chapter of his career came in 2010 with a deployment to Iraq, where he served as a Senior Advisor to the Iraqi Ministry of Interior. During this wartime deployment, Colonel Salahuddin led a joint advisory team, providing critical training and operational support to Iraqi border and port security leaders. While he did not engage in direct combat, his service during this period demanded leadership under pressure, cultural awareness, and strategic judgment. As his career progressed, he assumed the roles of Division Chief for Manpower and later Division Chief for Recruiting and Retention, further demonstrating that his expertise extends beyond wartime deployments into personnel management, workforce development, and resource planning.
